HOW IT IS MADE
During the malting process, we restrict the germination phase. This allows higher molecular weight polysaccharides to remain which contribute greatly to body and mouthfeel. We then kiln the malt very gently, similar to the extra pale to ensure a low final colour.
TYPICAL PROFILE
Strong Chains adds body and mouthfeel without impacting flavour or colour. This means you can use up to 20% for low ABV pale ales to replicate the mouthfeel of a much stronger beer. Subtle earthy and neutral flavours result, providing a subtle balance to a modern pale style.
